AI Engineer (Agents)

Location: Hybrid in the United States, with hubs in New York City, San Francisco, and Miami. The role requires authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Base salary by level: Mid $105,000–$170,000; Senior $160,000–$245,000; Staff $230,000–$320,000.

hirify.global is building an AI-powered financial ecosystem for Latin immigrants in the United States, starting with WhatsApp-based remittances and using AI, blockchain, and stablecoins.

What you will do

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable, stateful production AI agents using Python and modern agent frameworks.
• Build monitoring, tracing, and observability for agentic workflows, including reasoning paths, tool-calling success rates, and latency.
• Integrate AI agents into payments, fraud, loans, and other core product infrastructure.
• Own deployment and stability across containerization, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and post-launch operations.
• Design automated evaluation pipelines using LLM-as-a-judge, semantic similarity testing, and adversarial benchmarks.
• Optimize RAG pipelines and agent loops through caching, prompt compression, model routing, and structured validation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including at least 2 years building and deploying production-grade AI/ML applications focused on LLMs or generative AI.
• Expertise in Python and deep familiarity with at least one core LLM API or framework, such as the OpenAI SDK, Google AI SDK, CrewAI, or LangChain.
• Experience implementing agentic systems with RAG, vector databases, and memory or state management.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including Git/GitHub, CI/CD, asynchronous programming, error handling, and testing.
• Ability to translate business needs into maintainable, well-tested production code.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Personal projects or demonstrable contributions on GitHub.
• Experience with Google ADK, LangGraph, LangSmith, Arize Phoenix, or Weights & Biases.
