Mutual Fund Accountant Intern (Finance)

Location: Appleton, Wisconsin, United States (Hybrid)

Salary: $20.00–$23.00 per hour

hirify.global is a Fortune 500 financial services organization offering a 12-week summer internship with exposure to mutual fund accounting operations and multiple business areas.

What you will do

• Prepare cash activity and projections for portfolio managers.
• Research corporate actions and verify interest, dividend, and expense accruals.
• Post security trades and shareholder activity and review daily fund pricing.
• Audit, resolve, and approve net asset value and unit value calculations.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations, ad hoc reports, and daily reporting materials.
• Coordinate with custodians, auditors, transfer agents, vendors, and sub-advisors to resolve discrepancies and support reporting deadlines.

Requirements

• Currently a junior pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, with graduation expected in December 2027 or May 2028.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher and a strong academic record.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to multitask, work collaboratively, and meet tight deadlines.
