Individual Aircraft Certification Engineer (IACE) (Principal Engineer)

Location: Mobile Area, Alabama, United States; onsite 100%. US work authorization is required.

What you will do

• Manage global certification processes for aircraft deviations and potential issues affecting individual aircraft before delivery.
• Coordinate certification documentation and justifications with hirify.global teams, customers, design offices, delivery teams, and aviation authorities.
• Coordinate the application and issuance of individual aircraft Certificates of Airworthiness.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on aircraft airworthiness.
• Develop and maintain certification program plans, data requirement matrices, action item matrices, and risk matrices.
• Coordinate exemptions, waivers, and derogations, establish compliance status, and sign Aircraft Design Declarations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, such as mechanical, aeronautical, civil, or electrical engineering.
• 13 years of aviation-industry experience in aircraft engineering, including design, certification, and qualification requirements.
• Strong communication, negotiation, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret complex aircraft engineering topics, motivate diverse teams, and mentor others.
• Current authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Regular onsite work and the ability to travel independently and on short notice are required.

• Experience as a delegated signatory.
