Collections Accounts Manager (Commercial Collections)

Location: Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada

Salary: CAD 27.63–34.54 per hour

What you will do

• Manage early-stage collections for primarily commercial and some consumer accounts.
• Prioritize accounts within the collections team and monitor outstanding balances across company platforms.
• Negotiate payment timelines, partial payments, default fees, and other account resolutions with customers.
• Investigate early defaults and collapses, develop solutions, and present recommendations to management.
• Track and report work queue results using Excel and qualitative feedback.
• Identify process gaps, recommend improvements, and resolve operational issues.

Requirements

• Five years of experience in collections, including auto loans, commercial collections, or financial institution portfolios.
• Strong communication, listening, questioning, and probing skills.
• Excellent phone etiquette and written email communication.
• Self-motivated approach with initiative to identify process improvements.
• Bilingual French-speaking ability is required.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
