Director, Advanced Analytics & AI

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; hybrid work with 1–3 days per week onsite at 81 Bay Street

What you will do

• Build relationships with business leaders and identify opportunities to apply advanced analytics to complex business problems.
• Lead analytical initiatives across multiple lines of business, with a focus on Wealth and Fraud use cases.
• Oversee the design, validation, implementation, and evaluation of statistical and machine learning models.
• Assess data sources, guide data transformation, and develop features that improve model performance.
• Support deployment, handoff, model refreshes, and ongoing enhancements.
• Mentor data scientists on modelling, coding, best practices, and communicating insights through executive presentations.

Requirements

• Experience in decision science, data science, advanced modelling, and analytical techniques.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Python, pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and SQL.
• Strong coding skills, knowledge of DevOps tools, and experience with one or more cloud platforms.
• Graduate degree in mathematics, computer science, electrical and computer engineering, or a related quantitative field; a master’s degree or doctorate is strongly preferred.
• Experience setting strategic team goals, coaching employees, and leading team performance.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada is required; a valid work or study permit may be required.
