Pre-K Part-Time Aftercare Support - Crown Heights

What you will do

• Support the K-2 Enrichment Dance Teacher as a classroom aide from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM.
• Monitor student safety, focus, behavior, transitions, bathroom breaks, and personal needs during enrichment activities.
• Supervise Pre-K students during aftercare from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
• Ensure students safely receive their afternoon snack and participate in engaging, age-appropriate activities.
• Maintain a structured, warm, and safe environment through daily dismissal.
• Communicate with students, families, and colleagues and attend required orientation and training sessions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication, organization, time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage dynamic classroom environments and support student behavior.
• Self-motivation, teamwork, personal responsibility, flexibility, and willingness to learn.
• Commitment to educating urban students and alignment with the organization’s educational philosophy.
• Prior experience with elementary or early childhood students is preferred; education or child development coursework is an advantage.
