AI Product Operator

Location: New York City, United States; in-office at the NYC headquarters

Salary: $55,000–$60,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and deploy full-stack internal applications, dashboards, and admin panels for Operations, Data Research, Accounting, Sales, and Marketing.
• Design multi-step AI workflows, agent systems, and RAG pipelines using LLM APIs and agent frameworks.
• Build AI systems for data extraction, document processing, classification, compliance research, and payroll validation.
• Integrate HRIS, payroll engines, CRMs, databases, Slack, email, and spreadsheets to automate data flows and operational processes.
• Build reporting, reconciliation, exception-handling, onboarding, invoice-processing, payment, and compliance data pipelines.
• Prototype, deploy, monitor, document, and continuously improve production tools using AI-assisted development.

Requirements

• 2+ years of software engineering experience with strong Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript skills.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying web applications with React, Next.js, Node.js, FastAPI, or equivalent technologies.
• Deep experience with Anthropic or OpenAI APIs, prompt engineering, function calling, and structured outputs.
• Experience building multi-step AI workflows or agent-based systems, including RAG architectures, vector databases, and document-processing pipelines.
• Working knowledge of SQL/PostgreSQL, REST APIs, webhooks, Docker, and cloud or application platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Vercel.
• Fluency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot; strong bias toward shipping working prototypes.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with n8n, Make, or Retool.
• Background in payroll, HR tech, EOR/AOR, fintech, or compliance operations.
• Experience with LangGraph or CrewAI.
• Understanding of global payroll compliance, tax regulations, or labor laws.
