Senior Analyst - Consumer Credit Risk & Underwriting

Location: Warsaw, Poland; hybrid work with most teams meeting in the office 2–3 days per week

What you will do

• Analyze Polish consumer credit risk using SQL, Python, and Polish credit bureau data.
• Build and defend underwriting policies for longer-term regulated credit in Poland.
• Bring Poland’s credit policy onto Klarna’s Global Underwriting Platform.
• Align purchase power and pre-qualification logic across the Klarna App and One Card product.
• Monitor bureau data quality and identify changes needed in sourcing or models.
• Translate analytical findings into policy changes for underwriting, product, and regional teams.

Requirements

• Experience in consumer credit risk, underwriting, or credit policy.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large, messy datasets.
• Knowledge of credit bureau data, repayment behavior, and credit risk modeling.
• Experience building underwriting or payment logic for markets where direct debit or local push payments are commonly used.
• Ability to investigate ambiguous policy logic and identify root causes.
• Working proficiency in Polish.

Nice to have

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
