Senior Software Engineer - Backend (Node.js/TypeScript)

What you will do

• Contribute to the ideation, technical design, implementation, and testing of product features.
• Build scalable software and clean APIs connecting client applications with backend services.
• Design and deliver robust web services and distributed systems for consumer-facing applications.
• Collaborate with product, data, and design teams to shape the hirify.global experience.
• Lead and mentor software engineers while promoting engineering best practices.
• Analyze requirements, develop solutions, and explain technical trade-offs.

Requirements

• Experience developing consumer-facing web applications.
• Experience designing complex distributed systems, management products, or business applications.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience building and deploying applications and services in cloud environments, with AWS highly desired.
• Strong experience leading the design and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services.
• Demonstrated use of Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Cursor, or Claude to improve workflows and productivity.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Kafka, SQS, GitLab, DataDog, Redshift, Spark, S3, Knative, Debezium, or Kafka Connect.
