Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Fintech)

Location: Onsite at hirify.global One-North office in Singapore

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable FundsCore payment platforms, backend systems, and data pipelines.
• Build reliable software for payment reconciliation and other complex Fintech use cases.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, product, and operations teams to deliver new features.
• Contribute to architecture, technical documentation, code reviews, observability, and continuous operational improvements.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, provide DevOps support, and participate in mandatory on-call rotations.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns while leveraging Generative AI tools to improve productivity and system capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of relevant software development experience with Golang, Java, or the ability to quickly learn required technologies.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, clean architecture, SOLID principles, and testable code.
• Experience with distributed systems, DBMS, caching, NoSQL databases, RESTful and gRPC application servers, and data consistency.
• Hands-on experience with microservices, cloud platforms such as AWS, DevOps, observability, SLAs, security, data governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Payments experience, including settlement and reconciliation, is preferred; experience applying Generative AI to improve productivity is expected.
