Data Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Cracow, Poland

Salary: 15,000–22,000 PLN gross per month

What you will do

• Build data pipelines supporting cross-product customer features, AI/ML, analytics, and reporting.
• Design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data processing in Azure Databricks.
• Contribute to Terraform, infrastructure as code, DevOps, platform reliability, security, and performance.
• Define data platform patterns and standards, including governance and data quality practices.
• Help shape the platform backlog, challenge assumptions, and identify improvements proactively.

Requirements

• Strong Python, including PySpark, and SQL experience with large-scale datasets.
• Hands-on experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines in a lakehouse environment.
• Practical experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform and DevOps practices.
• Solid data modeling and data integration skills, with a focus on maintaining trustworthy data.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Cracow, Poland.

Nice to have

• Apache Spark and Azure Databricks experience.
• Data mesh architecture experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, BigQuery, or other modern data platforms and ETL tools.
• Experience with AI/ML pipelines, analytics and reporting platforms, data governance, security, or compliance.
