Junior Multimedia Designer (Events)

Location: London; hybrid working with staff required to work onsite 50% of the time. The role is full time at 35 hours per week, normally 9:30am–5:30pm on weekdays. Limited travel to support events in Europe, Asia and the Americas may be available.

What you will do

• Create video and animation assets for FT Live events, including content for LED screens in varied sizes and aspect ratios.
• Support event videography and photography by documenting events, capturing b-roll and interviewing attendees.
• Develop pre- and post-event content for social media, event screens and FT Live websites.
• Create static promotional graphics, HTML-animated advertisements, print advertisements and large-scale repro.
• Collaborate with marketing, audio-visual and production teams on briefs, room layouts, lighting, filming and live streaming.
• Maintain asset templates, coordinate with external suppliers and gradually manage event design from brief through delivery.

Requirements

• Recognised design qualification and a portfolio demonstrating strong motion design work.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Ability to work with Mac OSX, Google Workspace and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Enthusiasm for typography, graphic design, video, motion and the developing use of AI in creative work.
• Confident collaborative communication, adaptability and willingness to develop technical, creative and interpersonal skills.
• Availability for a hybrid role based in London, with onsite work required 50% of the time.

Nice to have

• Motion design qualification or around one year of commercial experience.
• Knowledge of Figma or a similar design tool.
• Experience with Monday.com or comparable project management software.
• Familiarity with the Maxon One bundle, including Cinema 4D, Red Giant, Redshift, Universe, Forger and ZBrush.
