Staff Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin/Spring)

What you will do

• Define technical direction and architectural standards for modernizing the Supply domain.
• Design and implement patterns to move domains out of the monolith with zero downtime.
• Build new services and support the transition from Go to Java, Kotlin, and Spring.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through design reviews and technical guidance.
• Partner with product managers to shape requirements and balance technical debt with product value.
• Improve backend reliability and performance using Grafana, tracing, testing, and AI-assisted development tools.

Requirements

• Significant backend engineering experience, typically 10+ years, in performance-sensitive and production-critical systems.
• Experience with event-driven systems, monolith decomposition, system migrations, and multiple programming languages.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Kotlin, Spring, and backend architecture; practical React experience is welcomed.
• Experience building robust unit, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
• Ability to collaborate across time zones, document technical decisions, and mentor engineers.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with React.
• Experience using agentic programming tools such as Claude Code.
