LPN (Urgent Care Float) - Full Time (36hrs/week) (Urgent Care)

Location: Lowell General Hospital - Dracut Urgent Care; must be able to float between urgent care sites in Dracut, Westford, Tewksbury, and Billerica, Massachusetts

Salary: $30.00–$33.59 per hour, based on full-time equivalent

What you will do

• Provide direct outpatient and urgent care nursing under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Implement nursing care plans, administer medications and treatments, and perform required procedures safely.
• Assess and reassess pain, monitor patient responses, and report changes in condition promptly.
• Educate patients and families about medications, treatments, activities of daily living, and discharge instructions.
• Document nursing interventions, patient responses, education, and observations in the medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, patients, families, and other healthcare professionals while participating in performance improvement activities.

Requirements

• Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Experience requirements depend on unit needs.
• Knowledge of the nursing process, pharmacology, medication administration, and age-appropriate patient care.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team.
• Ability to work 36 hours per week, generally between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., and float between four urgent care locations.
