TL;DR
Backend Engineer (Go/Java) (Ecommerce/AI): Building and operating backend services and microservices for a recommerce platform serving tens of millions of users with an accent on end-to-end feature ownership, reliability, and performance. Focus on designing service boundaries, shipping AI-powered features, working with distributed data systems, and improving production systems through testing, reviews, and shared tooling.
Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; office-based role

What you will do
- Build, operate, and improve backend services and microservices serving tens of millions of users.
- Own features end to end, from design and implementation through rollout and production ownership.
- Participate in design reviews, explain technical trade-offs, and incorporate feedback.
- Build AI-powered features with LLMs when they fit the problem.
- Improve service reliability and performance while reducing technical debt.
- Raise code quality through reviews, tests, shared libraries, and engineering tooling.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional backend experience building and operating production services.
- Strong proficiency in at least one general-purpose language, such as Go, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Node.js.
- Working knowledge of Golang or the ability to quickly adopt it.
- Experience shipping AI-powered features to production and using AI agents with sound judgment, verification, and secure handling of code and data.
- Experience with at least two data systems, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, Kafka, or Cassandra.
- Comfort with Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, event-driven architectures, software design, and data modeling; a technical degree or competitive programming background is expected.
