Software Engineer (Fullstack)

Location: Beavercreek, Ohio, United States; occasional out-of-state travel is required for client events.

What you will do

• Design and implement web-based capabilities that improve the usability of complex Modeling and Simulation systems.
• Resolve issues in existing code and integrate capabilities with external services and tools.
• Develop solutions based on customer needs and existing points of friction.
• Collaborate directly with customers to define requirements and communicate technical status.
• Participate in code reviews and share technical knowledge with team members.
• Travel out of state occasionally for client events.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of software development experience and a bachelor's degree in computer science or a relevant STEM field.
• Experience with RESTful web services, server-side languages, version control, and bug or issue tracking software.
• Experience with Python and/or C++; strong preference for modern frontend JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience organizing and clearly communicating complex technical details.
• US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance are required.
• Ability to demonstrate clean layouts, typography, and intuitive user workflows through a personal portfolio or open-source contributions.

Nice to have

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• React experience, dashboard design, and experience working with large relational datasets.
• Kubernetes, OKD, Helm, Docker, or Podman experience.
• CI/CD experience with GitLab CI or Jenkins.
• Experience deploying web applications and working with communicating containers.
