IT Audit, Cybersecurity & Risk Experienced Consultant (HITRUST)

Location: Hybrid role in the United States, with listed locations in Minneapolis, MN; Milwaukee, WI; and Southfield, MI.

Salary: $70,000–$99,530 in Minneapolis, MN; $52,779–$94,790 in Milwaukee, WI; $70,000–$99,530 in Southfield, MI.

What you will do

• Work with client executives and management teams to identify and manage financial, operational, and technology risks.
• Assess IT risk across cybersecurity, IT strategy and governance, regulatory compliance, business continuity, disaster recovery, third-party risk, and IT controls.
• Develop audit programs and execute internal audits, IT control assessments, SOX and SOC audits, and HITRUST engagements.
• Review processes and controls against industry frameworks, identify design and execution gaps, and recommend improvements.
• Prepare executive summaries, final reports, and engagement work papers using accepted internal audit methodologies.
• Build client relationships, provide business advice, and continue developing expertise across technology environments and platforms.

Requirements

• Four-year degree and at least one year of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science, accounting information systems, computer engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• At least one year of IT audit or cybersecurity experience is preferred, including experience with SOX or SOC audits.
• Strong analytical, technical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in the listed U.S. locations under the hybrid work arrangement.

Nice to have

• HITRUST engagement experience or willingness to obtain HITRUST certification.
• CISA, CISSP, CISM, CIA, or CPA certification.
• Client-service experience in a consulting firm.
• Cloud audit experience or relevant certifications.
