Senior Data Engineer (GCP)

Location: Hybrid in Porto or Lisbon, Portugal

What you will do

• Design schemas and write complex SQL queries for cloud data platforms.
• Optimize data platform performance and manage cloud costs.
• Create, schedule, monitor, and debug DAGs for data orchestration.
• Build migration and integration processes for data flows.
• Develop Python scripts for migrations, automation, data transformations, and GCP API integrations.
• Migrate databases from on-premise environments to the cloud.

Requirements

• More than 6 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong experience with GCP, schema design, complex SQL queries, performance optimization, and cloud cost management.
• Experience with SQL, SQL Server, and adapting SQL for BigQuery.
• Solid experience orchestrating data flows with DAGs, particularly for migration and integration processes.
• Experience with Python and on-premise-to-cloud database migrations.
• Fluent English required.
