What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines for analytics and business operations.
• Develop clean, efficient, and documented solutions using Python, SQL, Spark, and modern data engineering tools.
• Deliver reliable data infrastructure supporting machine learning, data science, analytics, and AI use cases.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, product managers, and engineering stakeholders to translate business questions into technical solutions.
• Monitor pipelines, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement data quality, observability, and testing practices.
• Document data sources, transformations, and architecture decisions while participating in code reviews and agile planning.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or software engineering focused on data.
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Airflow, dbt, Spark, Kafka, or similar modern data tools.
• Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT best practices.
• Experience with at least one cloud data platform: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in New York City.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting business intelligence, analytics, or data science teams.
• Familiarity with version control, CI/CD, and collaborative development workflows.
