Fullstack Developer (Ruby/Rails)

What you will do

• Build and improve developer tools and publication systems supporting Xcode, Swift Playgrounds, and Apple’s developer website.
• Define backend infrastructure needs with software developers, designers, technical writers, and program managers.
• Develop well-tested, performant, and reliable code across multiple systems.
• Write architecture and design proposals and participate in code reviews, pair programming, and architecture discussions.
• Integrate tools and systems with other Apple teams and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Mentor engineers and support cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Ruby, Rails, PostgreSQL, RESTful APIs, Vue, and React.
• Experience shipping high-quality, performant, and reliable products and features.
• Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, test-driven development, and continuous integration and delivery.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, critical-thinking, software lifecycle, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
