Software Engineer 1/2 - PostgreSQL/Java/Angular/Docker/Kubernetes/CI/CD

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph.

Salary: $130,000–$270,000 annually, depending on years of experience.

What you will do

• Analyze requirements and contribute to technical design, implementation, and application modernization.
• Develop, test, debug, and maintain Java Spring Boot and Angular applications.
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs, service integrations, and relational database access for large-scale enterprise data.
• Containerize applications and support Kubernetes deployment and architecture evolution.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain automated tests and GitLab CI/CD pipelines for build, testing, and deployment.

Requirements

• Current Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph and U.S. citizenship
• At least seven years of software engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• Professional experience with Java enterprise applications, Spring Boot, Angular, and RESTful APIs
• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, or comparable relational databases
• Experience with Docker or Podman, Kubernetes, application modernization, software architecture, and technical documentation

Nice to have

• Microservices architecture and Kubernetes platforms such as Rancher, Amazon EKS, or OpenShift
• Knowledge of Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Ingress, Persistent Volumes, and Helm charts
• Experience processing large volumes of enterprise data and supporting Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MariaDB operations
• GitLab CI/CD, automated testing, DevSecOps, Jira, and Confluence experience
