AIV Systems Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Fino Mornasco, Italy. Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU.

Salary: €35,000–€65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

hirify.global employs the selected engineer directly or through one of its subsidiaries and provides engineering support to a client in the space or aerospace sector.

What you will do

• Plan and coordinate system integration, testing, qualification, and validation activities from early development through final validation.
• Define and maintain verification and validation strategies, plans, procedures, and related campaign documentation.
• Prepare system and subsystem test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
• Perform functional verification and test campaigns on engineering models, flat-sats, and hardware/software test benches.
• Support system requirements definition and management, with a focus on requirements verification.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, operations, and integration teams and analyze test campaign results.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• At least 2 years of experience in integration, testing, verification, and validation of complex systems.
• Independent experience defining test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of functional testing, electrical bonding and isolation, vibration testing, and thermal vacuum testing.
• Hands-on experience testing engineering models, flat-sats, or hardware/software test benches, plus knowledge of systems engineering, spacecraft subsystems, OBDH, and data bus architectures and protocols.
• Fluent English and eligibility to work in the EU are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with DOORS or Jama requirements management tools.
• Knowledge of MATLAB, Python, and Linux.
• Familiarity with ECSS or NASA standards.
