Senior SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) – Modernized Application Operations

Location: Remote for US or Canada

Base salary: USD $145,000–$170,000 for US-based candidates; CAD $120,000–$145,000 for Canada-based candidates, excluding annual bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Provide Tier 1 SRE operations for containerized SaaS applications across AWS and Azure.
• Participate in a rotating 24x7 on-call schedule and respond to production and security incidents.
• Implement monitoring, logging, tracing, and APM practices to improve application performance and availability.
• Develop, test, and execute disaster recovery and business continuity procedures.
• Use Terraform and CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions and GitLab CI to automate operational environments.
• Design, build, and operate AI agents that automate SRE tasks, incident triage, and remediation.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of progressive software engineering or SRE experience operating distributed systems.
• Deep automation coding experience with Python, JavaScript, or Go, including APIs, authentication, parallelization, and data transformation.
• Deep expertise with Docker and Kubernetes in scalable, resilient production environments.
• Required experience with Terraform modules at scale.
• Hands-on experience operating production workloads in AWS and/or Azure, plus CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with observability, APM, incident response, disaster recovery, communication, and cross-team collaboration; a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field is required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Wiz, Prisma Cloud, or Checkov.
