Financial Reporting Manager (Financial Services)

Location: Bristol Harbourside, UK; hybrid working with at least two days per week or 40% of working time in the Bristol office

Salary: £67,023–£74,470 per year

What you will do

• Analyse and explain financial results, key transactions and business developments with Finance colleagues.
• Own accurate and timely IFRS, Solvency II and regulatory reporting outputs.
• Provide financial insight, constructive challenge and technical guidance to support business decisions.
• Analyse data from multiple sources to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Lead reporting improvements, automation, digital initiatives and small change projects.
• Strengthen financial controls and governance while coaching colleagues and sharing technical expertise.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
• At least three years of experience in financial reporting, regulatory reporting or a related Finance role.
• At least three years of experience preparing and reviewing reporting under IFRS, Solvency II or other regulatory frameworks.
• Experience analysing complex financial information and translating findings into clear insights and recommendations.
• Strong people management, stakeholder relationship-building and constructive challenge skills.
• Experience working within robust financial controls, governance and risk management environments.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering Finance operational improvement, automation or digital transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate and advanced Excel reporting techniques.
• Experience coaching, mentoring or developing colleagues.
• Financial services or insurance experience.
