Technical Service Representative (PCB Chemistry)

Location: Customer sites within the North America Eastern Region, with travel to assigned accounts. Nearest major markets: New Haven and Hartford.

Base salary: $81,000–$122,000 annually, plus a performance-related bonus.

What you will do

• Provide on-site process expertise, chemical change implementation, monitoring, and hands-on process control for printed circuit board manufacturing.
• Explain PCB chemical functions and process requirements to customers and support the application of MacDermid Alpha products.
• Perform customer-site health checks and process audits, prepare reports, and review findings with end users.
• Support laboratory testing and analysis, including training customer laboratory personnel on best practices.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process problems, provide hands-on corrective support, and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate with account managers and business directors, monitor customer-site inventory, and identify growth opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field.
• Strong understanding of chemistry and chemical interactions in PCB manufacturing.
• Thorough knowledge of the PCB business, particularly wet-processing areas.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to navigate complex technical organizations.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory and periodically to customer accounts in the Eastern North America region.
• Timely response to customers through communication and on-site visits.
