Senior Product Engineer (Fullstack)

Location: Remote within the United States; occasional travel to Humana offices may be required

Salary: $106,900–$147,000 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan

What you will do

• Shape product direction, define requirements, influence the roadmap, and own measurable outcomes.
• Design, develop, and deploy full-stack web applications with accessible user interfaces, GraphQL APIs, and Node.js microservices.
• Build WCAG 2.2-compliant interfaces with semantic HTML, ARIA, keyboard navigation, and assistive technology testing.
• Architect scalable, domain-driven microservices and optimize GraphQL schemas, queries, caching, and batching.
• Apply TDD, performance optimization, security practices, CI/CD, cloud deployment, and containerization.
• Extend AI-accelerated engineering tools and collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of software engineering experience, including 3 years in full-stack web development.
• At least 2 years of experience with React, GraphQL APIs using Apollo Server, and Node.js backend services.
• Production experience building microservices, applying TDD, and working with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2, semantic HTML, ARIA, REST, OpenAPI, SQL and NoSQL databases, event streaming, and cloud platforms.
• Must be able to work remotely from the United States and maintain a dedicated workspace protecting PHI/HIPAA information.

Nice to have

• Experience with Vue.js, Next.js, Lit, TanStack, Module Federation, Apollo Federation, Python, or FastAPI.
• Experience with Azure, GCP, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and performance monitoring tools.
• Healthcare standards knowledge, including HIPAA and FHIR, or experience building AI-powered features.
