Chief Accounting Officer

Location: Onsite in Midland, TX (HQ) or Tomball, TX, with travel to HQ required from the satellite office

hirify.global Services provides energy and oilfield services, with the role supporting corporate accounting and financial reporting.

What you will do

• Lead accounting, financial reporting, controllership, and accounting operations.
• Oversee Forms 10-K, 10-Q, other SEC filings, earnings releases, investor materials, and related disclosures.
• Direct monthly, quarterly, and annual close and consolidation processes.
• Lead technical accounting evaluations and policies covering revenue, leases, impairments, business combinations, stock compensation, segment reporting, taxes, and complex financial instruments.
• Maintain internal controls, oversee SOX compliance and disclosure controls, and coordinate CEO and CFO certification processes.
• Partner with the CFO, Audit Committee, Board, external auditors, and SEC staff while supporting transactions, process automation, AI initiatives, and organizational development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• CPA license.
• 15+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience, including significant leadership responsibility.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, SOX compliance, internal controls, technical accounting, operational accounting, and external audit.
• Experience working with Audit Committees, Boards of Directors, executive leadership, and external auditors.
• Must work onsite in Midland, TX or Tomball, TX; travel to the Midland headquarters is required from Tomball.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Big Four or other national public accounting firm experience.
• Power generation, energy, oilfield services, power, or energy infrastructure experience.
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions, complex transactions, ERP implementations, accounting transformation, and process automation.
