Deployment Strategy Lead (AI/Fintech)

Location: New York City or San Francisco, United States. The role is office-centered and typically requires 3–5 days per week in the NYC and/or SF office, depending on deployment phase, client work, and team needs. Travel is typically 10–20% and may be higher based on client needs.

Salary: $175,000–$250,000 annual base salary, plus equity. The stated range applies to staff located in New York City and may vary by location.

What you will do

• Own a deployment domain end-to-end across a product surface, client function, or operational workflow.
• Manage and coach 5–10 Deployment Strategists, improving judgment, learning loops, and client trust.
• Own the full customer journey from contract signature through go-live and ongoing adoption.
• Review configurations, client conversations, data, workflows, and operating edge cases to identify quality problems early.
• Translate complex deployment issues for senior client leaders, product and engineering teams, and direct reports.
• Build and extend DeploymentOS so deployment knowledge and solutions are reusable across teams.

Requirements

• Track record of managing teams with 3+ direct reports in operating roles, strategy consulting, banking, investing, or another high-stakes and ambiguous environment.
• Experience owning a specific domain and building deep expertise in a product surface, client function, or workflow.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including the ability to decompose ambiguous problems and coach others to do the same.
• Practical comfort using SQL, Python, or AI tools to check work and answer operational questions.
• Demonstrated AI fluency, including using coding agents, building small tools, or restructuring workflows around AI.
• Clear communication with executives, operators, engineers, clients, and direct reports, with accountability for both outcomes and people.

Nice to have

• Prior experience as a Deployment Strategist or in a similar end-to-end deployment or implementation ownership role.
• Background in financial services, healthcare, government, infrastructure, or another regulated and operationally intense industry.
