Senior Data Product Engineer

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Ensure accurate data flows from creation through presentation layers across engineering teams.
• Improve the data technology stack through containerization, data modeling, ETL pipeline development, and scalable solution design.
• Translate stakeholder needs into deliverables and create business-ready data products for non-engineering users.
• Develop metrics and data views, maintain the data library, and document platform changes through release notes.
• Train brand data analysts and communicate with internal customers across Marketing, Product, Finance, Strategy, and Analytics.
• Support on-premises infrastructure and help expand data capabilities into AWS and Databricks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional or industry experience.
• Expertise in SQL, data modeling, lakehouse architecture, and Python.
• Experience with Redshift, Airflow, AWS QuickSight, Databricks, Spark, and relational databases such as SQL Server.
• Experience delivering data products from conception through delivery.
• Ability to drive initiatives, communicate their value, and facilitate workshops across different groups.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for elegant data solutions and platforms.
