Cost Management Analyst

What you will do

• Own cost lines with a direct impact on reported margin and the P&L.
• Reconcile supplier invoices, contracts, and purchase terms, identifying discrepancies before they become write-offs.
• Build and maintain trackers for real-time visibility into cost drivers and emerging issues.
• Validate energy-market settlement and regulatory charges against internal accruals and flag variances.
• Analyze cost lines, contracts, and vendor relationships to identify savings and support supplier negotiations.
• Automate repetitive cost-tracking and reconciliation processes.

Requirements

• Strong first-principles thinking and the ability to understand why costs exist before reducing them.
• Analytical, structured, proactive, and comfortable investigating discrepancies.
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Genuine interest in cost control, procurement, or operational finance.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and high-intensity environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in banking, consulting, accounting, procurement, or a startup finance team.
• Experience with contract or invoice reconciliation, vendor management, or process automation.
• Coding skills in Python, SQL, or similar tools for building cost-tracking solutions.
