Buyer 2 (Supply Chain)

Location: Hybrid work including onsite attendance in Tiverton at Bruce Power, in Kincardine at the administrative office, and from home

Salary: $76,080–$114,120 per year

What you will do

• Manage procurement activities across planning, requests for quotation, bid evaluation, supplier selection, purchase requisitions, and purchase orders.
• Review customer contracts and impose quality and regulatory requirements on procured products and services.
• Identify suppliers, obtain quotations, verify capabilities, and present recommendations to management.
• Develop supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, quality, and service terms.
• Expedite deliveries and communicate schedule or deliverable risks to project stakeholders.
• Address supplier non-conformances and support Buyer I throughout the procurement process.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, or an equivalent discipline.
• At least 3 years of related procurement experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical codes and standards, including ISO, N299, and N285.
• Strong organizational, analytical, time-management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice to have

• Experience in the nuclear or construction sectors.
• Experience with SAP.
