Associate General Counsel – Dispute Resolution, Recruiting & Special Legal Matters

Location: On-site in Denver, Colorado or Great Falls, Montana

Base pay: $150,000–$190,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide legal counsel to the company and its subsidiaries on complex business and operational matters.
• Manage litigation, arbitration, regulatory inquiries, enforcement matters, filings, settlements, witnesses, and outside counsel.
• Advise Compliance, Human Capital, Supervision, and business leaders on customer complaints, employee matters, investigations, and regulatory policies.
• Handle recruiting and employee-transition matters, employment claims, administrative proceedings, and employee promissory note collections.
• Manage internal investigations, corporate insurance claims, coverage issues, and legal support for trust company and registration matters.
• Monitor legal developments and help create or update company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Law degree and an active license to practice law in one or more states.
• Experience with financial services operations, including broker-dealer, registered investment adviser, and trust company services.
• Broad knowledge of corporate, securities, investment advisory, and Department of Labor regulations, including SEC, FINRA, MSRB, and state requirements.
• Experience drafting contracts and legal documents and managing litigation, arbitration, regulatory, and enforcement matters.
• Strong communication, judgment, attention to detail, confidentiality, collaboration, and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance and work in an on-site environment.
