Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Prepare and record administrative and operating expense accruals, including audit, tax, and recurring professional-services accruals.
• Own prepaid, accrual, payroll, benefit, investment, and debt-account reconciliations across parent and insurance entities.
• Support month-end close, segregation of duties, account reviews, software capitalization, and lease accounting under ASC 842.
• Prepare covenant compliance and other monthly reporting for lenders.
• Investigate variances and partner with Finance Operations and FP&A on issue resolution and administrative expense allocations.
• Identify and implement AI-enabled and automated tools to improve accounting efficiency and scalability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Hands-on ownership of account reconciliations and month-end close.
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting, internal controls, and segregation of duties.
• Ability to take ownership of assigned areas, investigate variances, meet close deadlines, and communicate across operational and reporting functions.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or active CPA candidacy.
• Public accounting or Big Four experience.
• Experience in insurance, healthcare, or financial services, including statutory or GAAP reporting and multi-entity structures.
• Experience with NetSuite and a close-management platform such as FloQast.
