Senior Information Systems Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hanscom AFB, Bedford, Massachusetts, United States; onsite role with limited travel as needed.

Salary: $165,000–$175,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Support authorization and accreditation activities for weapon systems and PIT systems under the DoD Risk Management Framework.
• Assess system architectures, threats, vulnerabilities, and security requirements, then recommend corrective actions and cybersecurity strategies.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity strategies, Program Protection Plan content, Critical Program Information analysis, and critical component assessments.
• Review security measures, contingency plans, disaster recovery procedures, Tempest requirements, and vendor cybersecurity deliverables.
• Evaluate DevSecOps, operating system, IoT, zero-trust, and cloud environments for security flaws and vulnerabilities.
• Prepare and review compliance, vulnerability, STIG, and mitigation documentation for program management.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen and hold an active TS/SCI clearance.
• Must be able to pass a background screening for SAP access.
• At least 15 years of cybersecurity experience and 5 years of DoD experience with a BA/BS; or 12 years with an MA/MS and 5 years of DoD experience; or 20 years of directly related experience, including 8 years in DoD.
• DoD 8570.01 MMGT512-compliant certification.
• Experience with the Risk Management Framework, system authorization and accreditation, security requirements, and cybersecurity compliance.
