Director, Manufacturing Excellence (Jewelry Manufacturing)

Location: Bangkok, Thailand; substantial presence required in the office and on manufacturing-partner factory floors. International candidates must satisfy applicable Thai work-authorization requirements.

What you will do

• Lead Manufacturing Excellence engineering across jewelry product development and manufacturing processes.
• Partner with manufacturers on factory floors to troubleshoot engineering and manufacturing challenges in real time.
• Evaluate prototypes, first samples, and production samples at the bench, validating construction, assembly, stone-setting, mechanisms, finishing, repair, durability, and manufacturability.
• Demonstrate and establish advanced jewelry fabrication, soldering, laser welding, polishing, finishing, repair, and stone-setting methods.
• Validate manufacturing technologies, tooling concepts, materials, and production methods, while supporting vendor technical training and capability assessments.
• Manage quality standards, costing, budgets, resources, timelines, and executive-level technical reviews across manufacturing partners.

Requirements

• Exceptional depth of jewelry manufacturing and advanced bench craftsmanship experience.
• Senior technical leadership capability and experience mentoring engineers, manufacturers, and master craftsmen.
• Ability to work effectively with Product Development and Design teams in the United States and with international manufacturing partners.
• Ability to operate successfully from Bangkok, Thailand with substantial office and factory-floor presence.
• International candidates must satisfy applicable Thai work-authorization requirements.
• Thai language is advantageous but not required.
