Senior Software Engineer, Platform Infrastructure (Remote)

Location: Boston, MA, United States; remote, hybrid, or office-based work from the Boston office

Salary: $158,000–$190,000 annual total target cash compensation, including base salary and bonus target

What you will do

• Build internal developer platforms, shared services, APIs, and libraries for integrations and core platform capabilities.
• Design reliable backend systems for cross-domain business flows and operationally critical use cases.
• Partner with product, security, and engineering teams to turn ambiguous problems into well-scoped deliverables.
• Improve software quality through testing, observability, safe rollout practices, and production issue investigation.
• Develop self-service capabilities that increase developer velocity and reduce operational toil.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building backend systems and APIs in production.
• Experience with Go and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Istio or another service mesh, Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools, and CI/CD systems.
• Experience with workflow orchestration, event-driven architectures, operational complexity, and observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Experience building shared platform capabilities used by multiple teams or products.
