Software Engineer (Java/TypeScript)

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, debug, and support software for retail and enterprise platforms.
• Implement user stories, technical tasks, integrations, APIs, and platform enhancements in Agile delivery teams.
• Use AI-assisted development tools for code development, testing, documentation, and technical analysis.
• Participate in discovery activities, evaluate requirements, build proof of concepts, and provide technical feedback.
• Contribute to code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and observability.
• Support production deployments, troubleshoot defects and operational issues, and identify root causes and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–4 years of professional software development experience.
• Professional experience with Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.
• Experience building cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices, or distributed systems.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, SQL databases, source control, CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Ability to work independently on assigned deliverables and collaborate with engineering, product, QA, DevOps, and professional services teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java/Spring Boot and front-end frameworks such as React or Vue.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
• Experience with Agile or Dual-Track Agile environments, event-driven architectures, and messaging technologies.
• Experience supporting retail, POS, payments, or commerce platforms.
• Exposure to AI-enabled engineering workflows, observability, and operational support.
