Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack (AI)

Location: Onsite at the office in Guadalajara, Mexico

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain performant, scalable full-stack applications.
• Build and improve visual tools for application development and data science.
• Collaborate with Product Management, User Interaction Designers, and Front-End and Back-End Engineers.
• Lead cross-team technical discussions covering application architecture, UI components, UX, backend and third-party integrations, and testing.
• Fix bugs, solve engineering problems, and improve products and technologies.
• Manage project deliverables, mentor junior team members, and help cultivate an innovative engineering team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with JavaScript, Java, or another object-oriented programming language.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and web application development.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Redux, Vue, Backbone, or Angular.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to collaborate across functions.
• Proficient spoken and written English and availability to work onsite in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in engineering, sciences, or a related field.
• Experience with Git or other version control software and Agile development methodology.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, test-driven development, SQL and NoSQL databases, and performance optimization tools.
• Experience leading engineering teams and projects or building scalable web applications.
