Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Java/Spring)

Location: Cuauhtémoc, Mexico; hybrid with 3 days per week onsite. Candidates in the Mexico City vicinity are prioritized.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain Java 21 and Spring Boot microservices and shared libraries.
• Develop and operate Apache Flink stream-processing jobs for high-volume session and event data.
• Build Kafka producers, consumers, and shared utilities across services.
• Contribute to multitenant Spring frameworks, task frameworks, REST clients, and other internal infrastructure.
• Integrate services through REST APIs and manage versions and dependencies across multi-repository Maven projects.
• Write tests, participate in code reviews, support production services, and contribute to observability and on-call operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional Java backend development experience, including Java 17 or higher.
• Production experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
• Experience managing multi-module projects and dependencies with Maven.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or similar distributed data systems, including Flink or Spark.
• Experience designing relational data models, optimizing queries, building REST APIs, writing automated tests, debugging, and supporting production services.
• Experience with code reviews and collaboration across multi-repository software projects.

Nice to have

• Experience with multitenant SaaS architectures.
• Exposure to cloud deployment and containerized infrastructure.
• Experience migrating large codebases across major Java or Spring versions.
• Familiarity with schema evolution, Avro, and event-driven design.
