Public Relations Intern

What you will do

• Identify proactive and reactive earned media opportunities and research newsworthy content for internal and external distribution.
• Support corporate communications strategies across media relations, marketing, corporate responsibility, and government relations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver consistent messaging to target audiences.
• Conduct media monitoring and analytics, reporting on coverage and communication trends.
• Align engagement calendars with external organizations and industry events.
• Complete a 10-week strategic project and present recommendations to management.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail and clarity.
• Familiarity with AP Style and the ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
• Effective time management and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Collaborative interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Enrollment at an accredited college or university for the Fall 2027 term is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with analytics tools or media monitoring platforms.
• Creative problem-solving skills and an eagerness to learn and take initiative.
