Test and Validation Engineer (Medical Devices)

What you will do

• Bring up and verify new PCB revisions across the hardware and firmware organisation.
• Design test fixtures and test PCBs from schematic capture through layout.
• Write and execute verification test plans against product requirements.
• Build automated test setups and develop the supporting scripts.
• Troubleshoot EMC pre-compliance failures and identify root causes.
• Feed test findings into design reviews and subsequent hardware revisions.

Requirements

• Hands-on laboratory experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analysers, and bench debugging of real hardware.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB design for test fixtures and test boards.
• Test scripting and automation experience in Python or a similar language.
• Strong analogue and digital electronics fundamentals, with the ability to create test methods from requirements.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluent English at C1 level or above; on-site work in Stockholm is required.

Nice to have

• Medical device or other regulated-industry experience, including familiarity with IEC 60601.
• EMC pre-compliance experience, including diagnosing failures in a chamber.
• Experience with sensor signal conditioning and analogue front ends.
• Experience with LabVIEW, PyVISA, TestStand, or automated test frameworks.
• Design-for-test experience on boards intended for volume production.
