Senior Software Engineer (PropTech)

Location: Remote-first within Argentina, with the option to work from Buenos Aires offices or partner coworking spaces up to twice a week.

What you will do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex software issues and support product and business decisions.
• Own the software development lifecycle from definition and development through testing, production, and maintenance.
• Design and evolve scalable, reliable software architecture, RESTful APIs, and database solutions.
• Improve engineering practices through code reviews, design reviews, documentation, testing, and deployment automation.
• Handle incidents, troubleshoot defects, create post-mortems, and implement preventive improvements.
• Mentor software engineers and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

• Experience with Agile development practices, including Scrum or Kanban.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, or JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of database design and evolution, software architecture, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, performance tracking, version control, testing, deployment automation, code reviews, and design documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent Portuguese and advanced English required for communication with international coworkers, suppliers, and partners.

Nice to have

• Experience mentoring software engineers and developing scalable client-server mobile applications.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, scalability tuning, distributed systems, and algorithm optimization.
