What you will do
- Design, build, and operate backend services for control planes, user access management, backup workflows, and SaaS capabilities.
- Own features and components from implementation through production operation and continuous improvement.
- Develop APIs and make technical trade-offs involving correctness, scalability, cost, and maintainability.
- Write and review production-quality code, diagnose complex backend issues, and participate in on-call operations.
- Collaborate with Product, quality assurance, infrastructure, frontend, and customer-facing teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and strengthen backend reliability and scalability.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of features or components through production operation.
- Experience building and operating non-trivial production systems and improving implementations based on real-world behavior.
- Ability to translate loosely defined requirements into maintainable technical solutions and make sound trade-offs.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language: Go, Python, Java, or Rust; Go is preferred.
- Strong collaboration and self-management skills when working with geographically distributed, cross-functional teams.
Nice to have
- Experience owning components or subsystems within larger backend or cloud-native platforms.
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure, and cloud-native design patterns.
- Experience with data-intensive systems, object storage, or large-scale backend services.
- Production experience with backup, disaster recovery, or data protection systems.
