Staff Backend Engineer (Coupang Pay)

What you will do

• Design and implement backend systems for hirify.global Pay.
• Develop fraud detection and risk engineering systems that protect customer data.
• Build platforms that support secure and continuous delivery of financial services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design systems that comply with laws and regulations.
• Identify and share backend engineering best practices with the team.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience designing and implementing backend architecture.
• Sophisticated knowledge of Java, Spring, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience resolving issues arising in large organizations and complex systems.
• Strong coding skills in object-oriented programming and scripting languages.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or a related technical field.
• Ability to work as a team player.

Nice to have

• Fintech software development experience.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Experience applying API Gateway and Service Mesh across an organization.
• Experience developing security or compliance-related systems.
• Understanding of agile software development methods.
