Compounding Lab Manager (Pharmacy)

What you will do

• Manage daily operations across the compounding laboratories, from setup and production through equipment and laboratory cleaning.
• Directly supervise compounding technicians and laboratory assistants while supporting production and troubleshooting operational issues.
• Maintain quality, safety, and daily critical checks for compounded medications, including hazardous-drug handling under USP <800> and applicable regulations.
• Plan and execute new compounding initiatives, including project plans, study protocols, and data management for non-sterile products.
• Coordinate personnel development and labor planning with the pharmacy technician manager.
• Create and revise SOPs, training materials, and knowledge assessments for pharmacy staff.

Requirements

• Pharmacy Technician Certification in Ohio is required.
• Experience working in a compounding pharmacy.
• Familiarity with USP chapters 795 and 800, pharmacy operating systems, Computer Rx software, and compounding SOPs.
• Ability to teach and train pharmacy staff and communicate clearly with staff and management.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, time management, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Must be medically approved to wear respiratory protection and willing to work with hazardous drugs while using required PPE.
