Product Documentation Writer

Location: Portugal, remote

What you will do

• Write and publish customer-facing release documentation on the day each product release ships.
• Work with the Russian-speaking product team to verify product behavior and turn feature specifications into accurate English documentation.
• Review AI-generated drafts, validate claims against the platform, and edit content until open questions are resolved.
• Manage feedback on published articles, investigate issues, and keep documentation accurate.
• Refresh and restructure older documentation as release work allows.
• Create screenshots, screen recordings, and short walkthroughs for product releases.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience writing technical or product documentation or technology content.
• Experience owning documentation end to end, with responsibility for accuracy and clarity.
• Near-native written English at C1/C2 level and working Russian sufficient to source product details from a Russian-speaking team.
• Ability to read technical specifications, follow basic API behavior, and document technical information accurately.
• Ability to record, edit, and deliver clear screen-recorded walkthroughs.
• Self-sufficiency and adaptability in a fast-moving product environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with REST APIs and developer-facing documentation.
• Editorial process or editing experience.
• Product marketing or UX writing experience.
• Experience in a bilingual Russian/English product or engineering organization.
