Engineering Applications Administrator (C5ISR)

Location: Onsite in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 82,100–109,500 per year, plus bonus opportunity

What you will do

• Configure, maintain, upgrade, and debug engineering applications used for complex software and hardware products.
• Administer Siemens EDA tools, including DxDesigner, Expedition, and HyperLynx.
• Support Atlassian tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence, along with PTC Creo and Windchill.
• Manage user permissions, installations, technical support, temporary licenses, and annual renewals.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve engineering tool issues and maintain required software licenses.
• Manage the Engineering Shared Services tools budget and administer Linux and Windows virtual environments with IT.

Requirements

• College or post-secondary degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Science preferred.
• 4+ years of related work experience.
• Experience managing user permissions across multiple tools.
• Strong debugging skills and knowledge of software configuration management and engineering practices.
• Working knowledge of Siemens EDA, Atlassian, and Windchill tools.
• Ability to work onsite in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Nice to have

• Software scripting and release experience.
• Knowledge of web-based tools using Java and Apache Tomcat.
• Experience with Siemens DxDesigner and Expedition, PTC Creo and Windchill, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, or Telelogic DOORS.
