Quality Control Inspector I (Medical Devices)

Location: Hopkinton, Massachusetts, United States; onsite at the production facility

What you will do

• Inspect customer single-use assembly designs and approve or reject parts according to documented processes.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using visual techniques, calipers, Micro-Hite equipment, rulers, and other measuring tools.
• Verify and apply part-number labels to approved production materials.
• Identify, reject, and report non-conforming material and support root cause investigations.
• Document inspection results and maintain associated records accurately and consistently.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma, two-year technical degree, or equivalent technical education preferred; relevant machine shop or quality experience may be considered.
• 0–2 years of quality assurance experience in an ISO 9001-certified quality management system or equivalent.
• Familiarity with inspection practices and standards in medical devices, bioprocessing equipment, military, or aerospace.
• Demonstrated ability to use calipers, Micro-Hite equipment, rulers, and other inspection tools.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, collaboration, and knowledge of sampling plans.

Nice to have

• Understanding of Good Documentation Practices.
• Two-year technical degree or equivalent from an accredited technical institution.
