iOS Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in the New York City or San Francisco office

Base salary: $160,000–$230,000 per year; additional compensation may include equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, build, and ship end-to-end features for the native iOS application.
• Establish the architecture, tooling, and engineering standards for the iOS codebase.
• Build fast, reliable mobile interfaces for real-time data, dashboards, and reporting.
• Partner with backend engineers to design APIs for mobile use cases and collaborate with design and product on native experiences.
• Own app performance, stability, crash rates, load times, testing, and App Store release quality.
• Implement push notifications, background refresh, CI/CD pipelines, and other Apple platform capabilities while mentoring future iOS hires.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience building and shipping native iOS applications.
• Strong proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI, with solid UIKit knowledge.
• Experience with iOS architecture patterns, state management, navigation, REST APIs, JSON, and asynchronous networking.
• Experience shipping applications through the App Store, including review, TestFlight, and release processes.
• Knowledge of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines, performance profiling, and debugging tools such as Instruments.
• Strong ownership, communication, collaboration, and comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment.
