Mobile Engineer III (iOS)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; hybrid work model with at least three days per week in the office. Relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $146,000–$204,500 total cash annually, with potential pay up to $233,500 based on sustained performance.

What you will do

• Design, build, and ship native iOS features using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit for large-scale vacation-rental shopping applications.
• Translate product requirements into technical designs covering low-level system design, API integration, and mobile data modeling.
• Write testable Swift code, debug issues, participate in code reviews, and maintain engineering standards across the iOS codebase.
• Collaborate with Android, web, backend, product, and other cross-functional teams to deliver reliable features and experimentation capabilities.
• Integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions safely within mobile applications.
• Mentor engineers and improve reusable mobile patterns, tooling, and engineering practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience with Swift and iOS/iPadOS development, software architecture, systems integration, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
• 3+ years of experience with mobile architectures such as MVVM and VIPER, including state management, dependency injection, navigation, modularization, and testability.
• Experience owning iOS features or services, including API integration, data models, and low-level system design.
• Proficiency in concurrency, networking, persistence, automated testing, and core iOS development concepts.
• Familiarity with AI-driven systems and safely integrating AI/ML capabilities into mobile products.

Nice to have

• Experience with REST or GraphQL APIs, resilient data layers, offline handling, caching, error management, and on-device persistence.
• Proficiency with Xcode, Git, mobile CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and Bitrise.
• Experience with XCTest, XCUITest, Instruments, crash reporting, analytics, and mobile performance optimization.
• Experience scaling consumer-facing mobile applications with A/B testing, feature flags, and experimentation frameworks.
• Familiarity with AWS, backend services, agile collaboration, and technical leadership.
